WORK CAMPS – VOLUNTEER OPORTUNITIES

From time to time we organize unforgetable Arts & Nature experiences, a good opportunity to get to know our unique and sustainable craft.

This volunteering opportunity was born out of the need to carry out a continuous production where we will share our extensive knowledge in the creation of musical instruments and crafts made from the Agave (Pita) wood. We are looking for motivated people who are keen to help us create our sustainable products, especially SKILLED WOOD-WORKERS or people who want to become that. The main aim is to form a dynamic and communal working group, in which we are all responsible for the daily tasks. We welcome self-initiative and an advanced desire to grow, learn, share and to explore an inovative and sustainable material easy to work with.

The professional craftsman Tim Bernhardt will give an introduction to the various tools, the responsable zero waste manufacturing methods, and natural oil treatments that he uses in his unique craft. 

In order to maintain the infrastructure of our self-suficiant house and the different project sites WE NEED PEOPLE WITH SKILLS IN: Gardening, Cooking, Marketing-, planing- and funding strategy, social media, film-making & photography, web-design, online sales, etc…

We are happy to recieve your message to keep you up-dated about the posibility to join our next Work-Camp. 

Erasmus & other Funding

From time to time, we accept volunteers who are able to stay for a period of longer than just one week. As we are an official institution, the Erasmus or other programs can be your solution to achieve some funding. PURCHASE YOUR OWN AGAVE WOOD

We are greatful to see how agave wood is moving into the focus of sustainability-oriented manufacturers and if you are also interested in purchasing some of it for your own project, get in touch! We will be happy to advise you and are looking forward to provide you with the highest quality wood of the desert.

As specialists, so far we are the only agave wood supplier in the whole of Europe that can look back on more than 25 years of experience, which enables us to guarantee high quality materials without exception. In the last décade we have collected and stored a large amount of raw material, which was posible due to a special permission from the local authorities. Based on our many years of experience and the highest demands on our work, we pay particular attention to the moment in which the wood gets selected and harvested, which has an enormous affect on the quality that we archieve.
